Former radio host Casey Kasem was hospitalized on Sunday after a chaotic scene unfolded between his wife and eldest daughter outside a Washington home.

According to NBC News, the dust up, which included Kasem’s wife, Jean, hurling raw meat at her stepdaughter, happened when Kerri Kasem arrived at the home with paramedics to take her father to a hospital.

The Associated Press noted that this incident occurred two days after a judge granted Kasem’s daughter permission to visit the radio icon and have him evaluated by a physician. The ruling did not sit well with her stepmother.

In court on Friday, Kasem said that her 82-year-old father suffers from Lewy body dementia and has developed bedsores and infections in his lungs and bladder.

Last month, the former American Top 40 host was reported missing by his children after his wife moved him from a Santa Monica nursing home to Washington without their knowledge.

The longtime disc jockey and his wife of 24 years had been staying with friends at a home just west of Seattle.
