Model and actress Kate Upton turns 22 today. Upton moved to New York where she signed with IMG Models. She first modeled clothing for Garage and Dooney & Bourke. In 2011, She appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, being featured in the body paint section and named Rookie of the Year for that issue. In June 2011, Upton appeared in an episode of Tosh.0, and participated in the 2011 Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game in 2011.

Upton made her acting debut was in the film Tower Heist as Mr. Hightower’s Mistress. She also appeared in The Three Stooges as Sister Bernice. In 2014, she appeared with Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the comedy The Other Woman.

Singer-songwriter, record producer, actress and author Faith Evans turns 41 today. Evans moved to Los Angeles in 1993 to start her music career. Evans started working as a background singer for Al B. Sure and Christopher Williams, then became the first female artist to sign with Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment recording company in 1994. She collaborated with several artists Mary J. Blige and Carl Thomas. Her three studio albums, Faith, Keep the Faith and Faithfully were all platinum-certified.

In 2003, Evans went to Capitol Records. Her first album on the label, The First Lady, became her highest-charting album at the time, reaching the top of the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. She released her fifth album Something About Faith on the independent label Prolific/E1 Music in 2010.

Also an actress and writer, Evans made her screen debut in the 2000 musical drama Turn It Up. Her autobiography Keep the Faith: A Memoir was released in 2008 and won a 2009 African American Literary Award for the Best Biography/Memoir category.

Evans is mostly known as the widow of rapper Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, whom she married on August 4, 1994. A 1997 tribute single featuring Puff Daddy and the band 112, named "I'll Be Missing You", won Evans a Grammy Award in 1998. She had one child with the late rapper.

In 2012, Evans became a cast member of TV One reality show R&B Divas Atlanta alongside Nicci Gilbert, Syleena Johnson, Keke Wyatt and Monifah. Evans also co-executive produces the show. Evans is currently working on her sixth album, Incomparable, which will include guest appearances by Missy Elliott, KeKe Wyatt, B.Slade and Karen Clark Sheard of The Clark Sisters.
