Have you ever wondered how Ben Stiller or Channing Tatum would do in the wilderness? You will now get your chance to thanks to a new reality series from Bear Grylls that NBC announced on Thursday.
The peacock network put in an order for six episodes of Running Wild with Bear Grylls. Each episode will feature Grylls passing his survival skills to a celebrity. The Man vs. Wild star has convinced actors Tatum, Stiller, Zac Efron and Tom Arnold and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders to participate. Today anchor Tamron Hall will also star in an episode.
Grylls said that it will test each star’s ability to experience real life outside of a celebrity bubble. “Ultimately, this show is about taking these stars on the adventure of a lifetime and being alongside them when they discover something new and empowering about themselves and their world,” he continued. “For me, that is always a privilege.”
Grylls previously worked with NBC on Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls. For this series, he will take viewers to the Catskill Mountains, Utah cliffs and Scotland to experience rough weather.
The first episode of Running Wild will air on Monday, July 28 at 8 p.m.
The show is produced by Electus and Bear Grylls Ventures.
