The Los Angeles Dodgers (47-37) won 6-0 against the St. Louis Cardinals (44-39) behind their ace Clayton Kershaw (9-2).

Kershaw struck out 13 in seven scoreless innings to cap off an amazing month. Kershaw went 6-0 in June posting a 0.82 ERA and 61 strikeouts, including just four walks. Kershaw also extended his streak to 28 consecutive scoreless innings according to MLB.com

Cardinals’ pitcher Shelby Miller (7-7) was tagged for six runs in his five innings. Miller allowed seven hits and walked three as he struggled to keep the Dodgers off the bases.

Miller let up a backbreaking three-run home run by outfielder Andre Ethier in the fifth inning. The homer was Ethier’s fourth of the season and his first since May 27 according to the Los Angeles Times

Outfielder Matt Kemp and first baseman Adrian Gonzalez each had a pair of hits and an RBI Sunday. With the win the Dodgers move into a tie with the San Francisco Giants for the NL West lead.
