Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodger threw a no hitter against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night, June 18. There was one error made in the game by Hanley Ramirez that cost him a perfect game, however all of his teammates celebrated with him during his milestone accomplishment of throwing a no hitter. Kershaw has never thrown a no hit game before in his career. Also, Kershaw threw career high 15 strikeouts.
Dodgers’ teammate catcher A.J. Ellis says Kershaw was in command of everything. Ellis was joking around with him in between innings saying how it was not fair what he was doing to batters at the plate.
"He had command of everything. I told him between innings it's not fair when you have a devastating slider and a devastating curveball in the same night. And when he does that, nights like this are really possible." said Ellis, according to ESPN.
In Kershaw’s last four games, he has struck out 40 batters and has only walked one, reported by the Los Angeles Times. Kershaw has improved his overall record to seven wins and two losses. The three-time all-star and two-time Cy Young Award winner is adding more achievements to his already impressive resume.
