Clear Channel Spectacolor, a brand division of Clear Channel Outdoor, in partnership with the Times Square Alliance of New York, will be simultaneously broadcasting the Tony Awards on June 8 in Times Square.
The Tony Awards honor some of Broadway’s finest. This year, Kerry Butler and Justin Guarini will host the event. Kerry Butler was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in Xanadu. Co-host Justin Guarini is now starring in Broadway's Wicked.
"Clear Channel Spectacolor has been a producing partner of the popular Tony's Simulcast since its conception," said Harry Coghlan, President of Clear Channel Outdoor New York, according to The Wall Street Journal. "The Broadway community is the heartbeat of Times Square, and we are proud to offer this uniquely New York outdoor viewing experience to resident and visiting Broadway fans in celebration the best of the best along 'The Great White Way'."
Clear Channel Spectacolor is a US market leader in spectacular sign displays. IBM, a company in the forefront of developing and designing across digital platforms, is the official information technology partner of the Tony Awards. People is the official magazine partner of the Tony Awards, according to Broadway World.
The 68th Annual Tony Awards will take place at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
