Johnny Depp's French ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis, was set to take the stage in a concert in Lyon but the show has been cancelled as a result of a strike by upset theatre workers.
Agence France Presse reported that organizers of Lyon's Nuits de Fourviere festival of music, theatre and dance explained that the show was one of three that had to be canceled because of the protest. The protest is a result of the government planning to cut the benefits of the workers.
This protest has been spreading across France. Theatre workers, along with singers and actors have been protesting. The strikes have been continuing and are increasing as a result of the benefits being cut. The protesters explained that these actions undermine France's commitment to culture.
The protests have been growing and are set to threaten some very popular summer festivals that are set to take place across the country this summer.
Depp and Paradis have two children together, Lily-Rose, 14 and 12-year-old son Jack. Depp has recently be seen with his soon to be wife Amber Heard bonding with his children, Contact Music added.
