Here are your top headlines in the world of sports on this Sunday, June 15th, 2014.

LeBron James against all odds:

Game 5 of the 2014 NBA Finals is set to tip-off tonight and the Larry O’Brien Trophy will be in the building. The Spurs need only one more win to capture their fifth championship, all in the Tim Duncan/Greg Popovich era (would be fifth in 16 years), according to NBA.com.

For LeBron James and the Miami Heat however, they need three straight wins to capture their third straight title. No team has ever come back from a three games to one deficit in the NBA Finals. However LeBron James is taking the positive mindset during these gloomy times for Miami.

"Why not us? History is broken all the time," James said on Saturday. "And obviously we know we're against the greatest of odds. No team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the Finals, but there was a point where no team came back from a 2-0. There was a point where no team came back from a 3-0. There was a point where no team came back from a 3-1 or 3-0 deficit in the ALCS, and then the Red Sox did it against the Yankees,” James continued, according to ESPN.com.

Many are arguing that this is a very important finals appearance for “The King.” Should he lose, this would mark already the third time he has come up short.

The Swiss edge Ecuador:

In Group E of the World Cup earlier today, Switzerland edged Ecuador by a score of 2-1. Through nine matches of the tournament, remarkably no game has ended in a tie. Thinking that streak was about to end today was oh so close until the Swiss struck late.

In the 93rd minute of the game, Haris Seferovic of Switzerland took a pass from teammate Ricardo Rodriguez and banged a goal in to give his country a much needed three points in group-play.

Vince Young retires:

Does everybody remember the 2004 NFL Draft? The one where Vince Young, Reggie Bush and Mario Williams were the head of the class. Well, now in 2014, players are start to fade away.

While Mario Willaims (Buffalo Bills) and Reggie Bush (Detroit Lions) are still going somewhat strong in this cruel league, quarterback Vince Young has unofficially announced his retirement.

Young was drafted #3 overall by the Tennessee Titans. The Titans thought they had solved their quarterback situation for a long time, but instead they were left with headaches for years. Young, while sustaining a bit of success early on, could never figure out the pro-game and opposing defenses knew this.

Young will now work for the university for which he had so much success, the University of Texas, in some type of ambassador-role.
