We know who the Dark Knight is. Who will be his Boy Wonder? Daniel Radcliffe volunteered himself for the role. During A Rapid Fire interview with Buzzfeed, Radcliffe was asked what franchise, he would be a part of. If given the opportunity, Radcliffe said, “Batman. If they reboot that again I’ll do that too,” he continued, “It’s happening, isn’t it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin, I’m perfect.” Is he perfect for the role?

Though there are 9 official full length action Batman movies, there are only two Robins. The first Robin, Burt Ward, starred in Batman: The Movie. The second Robin, Chris O’Donnell, starred in Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. At the time, Burt Ward was very lean and slender. He looks like a teenager. Batman was a father figure to Robin. The next Robin was a heartthrob.

The change from polyester blend to Spandex enhanced Chris O’Donnell appearance. He was still lean, but he was more muscular than Burt Ward. In this film, Bruce Wayne meets Dick Grayson in his late teens early twenties. He resented Bruce Wayne for his family's death. Plus, he was rebellious and impulsive. If you, had he opportunity to take a ride in the Batmobile, wouldn’t you?

Physically, Daniel Radcliffe falls in between these two. As far as acting is concerned, I believe he could take on the role. While shooting the Harry Potter franchise, Radcliffe’s character endured many intricate stunts as well as emotional scenes. He is a good actor that has kept himself busy after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Immediately after that film, he was Arthur Kipps in The Woman in Black, as well as, Allen Ginsberg in Killing Your Darlings . Radcliff finished filming Frankenstein, which is set to release on October 2, 2015. He is Igor. Radcliffe grew up filming Harry Potter that will always be a part of his career, but he is not defined by it. He should not get the part, because he thinks he would be perfect for it. I do believe he deserves a chance to compete for it.
