Duck Dynasty struggled Wednesday night in the ratings for the A&E reality show's sixth season premiere.
The first episode of the new season only opened to 4.3 million viewers, which is a massive drop from the fifth season premiere back in January, which averaged 8.5 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show has more or less been sliding since that premiere.
The show hasn't fallen that low since Nov 12, 2012's episodes. Still, despite the doom and gloom of continued dips in the ratings, Duck Dynasty remains the most-watched reality show on cable. And Wednesday night was no exception, with little competition aside from So You Think You Can Dance and the O.J. Simpson Dateline episode.
The latest numbers for the A&E show are also down from season five's finale in March. That episode, which temporarily bucked the reality show's downward trend with 6 million viewers. The episode also managed a strong 2.5 rating in the advertiser-important demographic.
