Johnson spoke to the Hollywood Reporter and explained that his girlfriend first learned the news. “She immediately turned very quiet and was looking at me, studying, wondering if I knew,” explained Johnson.
He added that after he took a moment to check his phone messages, he had to catch his breath. " We said a prayer right then to give his daughter strength - because we had talked about our daughters," said Johnson.
The Fast 6 star went on to say that he and Walker had a strong bond because both of them had been divorced and having daughters of their own. Johnson added that once he had processed the news, both him and his girlfriend started crying.
Walker was 40 years old when he died on November 30th, Entertainment Wise added. The Fast franchise is started back into production again and will feature Walker's brothers helping to complete unfinished scenes that Walker had not yet filmed.
"He was a beautiful man, and in that crazy world, that’s really something," said Johnson.
