Eric Dane comes clean about the mistakes in his past, including his regrets on involving his wife in his indiscretions, such as the 2009 release of a sex tape in which Dane was involved in with his wife and another woman.
The star of The Last Ship spoke to People and revealed his love for his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, and their two children, Billie and Georgia. The couple has been married for almost ten years, but there had been roadblocks in their marriage.
In 2009, a sex tape was leaked showing Dane with his wife and another woman. Then, two years later, Dane would find himself in rehab due to his addiction to painkillers, which stemmed from a sports injury.
Dane told People, “We’ve all made mistakes. My one regret is that I got the person I love most wrapped up in all that: Rebecca.”
Contact Music reported the couple immediately sued Gawker after the website published the sex tape illegally. Dane and his wife have reportedly worked past the issues and Dane said “our marriage is stronger than ever.”
Dane lost his father at the age of seven and with his wife and two young daughters, ages four and two, the actor is very happy with his family. “I never had a family, and now I do. I know I’m a very lucky guy.”
