Former Bachelorette star Emily Maynard quietly married her fiance Tyler Johnson on Saturday in South Carolina.
The couple were married at Johnson's parents' farm and guests who attended the ceremony were told beforehand that the couple were celebrating an engagement party instead of a wedding, reports Us Weekly.
An insider said that "Emily met a bunch of relatives at a restaurant for lunch and they had presents for her." At the ceremony, her 8-year-old daughter Ricki was the maid of honor.
Speaking exclusively to People, Maynard, who is now legally going by Emily Johnson, said, "God brought us together. He's given me such peace about everything. I'm so grateful I met him."
Emily also revealed that much like the wedding was a surprise to guests, the location of the honeymoon will be a surprise for her. She noted that Tyler planned it and would only tell her that they would be going to a beach.
Emily was unable to find love with either of her two previous fiances, Brad Womack or Jeff Holm, both of whom she met on TV. She got engaged to Tyler in January 2012 after he proposed by presenting her with five diamond-studded bands.
