Game of Thrones has once again set online piracy records for their latest season finale. The show drew in a record number of viewers including those legally and illegally.

CBS News reported that legally the show brought in 7.1 million viewers and that made this eposide titled, "The Children," the most-watched finale ever for the HBO drama.

It only took a few hours after the show aired for it to break the online piracy recorded. The Demonii tracker reported that 254,114 people were sharing one single torrent at the same time of the eposide. This is the highest ever in history.

Entertainment Weekly added that the show is already focused and working on the next season. The fifth season will be taking inspiration from the fourth and fifth novels in George R.R. Martin’s series. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss explained that even though have reached many milestones with the show and the storytelling process, they are just getting started.

"For season 5, again, the fear started to dissipate when we outlined it and realized how much story we had to tell. Now that we’re nearly finished with the first drafts of each episode, we see no reason why the coming season shouldn’t be the strongest yet," detailed Benioff and Weiss.
