This Sunday sees another season of Game of Thrones coming to an end, and there is no reason not to expect it to be as shocking as previous ones. The show, based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books, is already the most popular show in HBO’s history and the season four finale will show why.

Last week’s epsiode took us away from the drama in King’s Landing and focused solely on the Battle of The Wall. Thankfully, Jon Snow survived the ordeal, but Ygritte was not so lucky.

For “The Children,” which is what the finale is titled, we will be going back to the further adventures of Danys, who now believes that Ser Jorah is a spy. For audience members who haven’t read the books, though, we are probably more interested in learning the fate of Tyrion after Prince Oberyn died in the fight with The Mountain. We also need an update on Ayra Stark, who had just arrived at the Eyrie to learn that there’s one more family member that she can’t reunite with.

Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss told Entertainment Weekly that “The Children” is their best finale yet. In addition, the episode will be 66 minutes, a few minutes longer than a typical show.

Check out some more photos from the finale, which airs Sunday at 9 p.m.
