The author of the popular “A Song of Ice and Fire” series is on a personal mission to support The Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary and The Food Depot in Santa Fe, New Mexico according to WhoSay, and is looking for donations. Martin has started a campaign via Prizeo where people who help him reach his goal will be rewarded in different ways.
CinemaBlend reports that Martin is, “offering an army of thank yous including t-shirts, signed memorabilia and even real personalized thank you notes,” but for those who have some extra cash there is an even larger reward.
The writer will write create a new character and name it after you and then will eventually kill it off in a true Game of Thrones manner. You even get to choose what status the character is in its lifetime among the realms! And all of this can be yours for $20,000.
One last surprise is that anyone who donates to the cause will be entered for a chance to be brought out to New Mexico with a friend to have dinner with Martin and ask any questions about the series in addition to a tour of the wolf sanctuary.
