Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee married her fiance and NBC news correspondent Ben Aaron in a quiet ceremony on Saturday in Michigan.
Zee told People, "Ben is my partner for life. I knew it as soon as I met him. I've never been more ready for anything in my life."
The intimate ceremony was attended by only 55 guests and they watched on the beach as the couple shared their wedding vows. After the ceremony, everyone gathered at The Inn at Bay Harbor for a meal, which included parmesan-crusted chicken, grilled salmon, filet mignon and Michigan salad.
Once everyone has eaten, the guests will be gathered up to enjoy cake on the terrace of the hotel. Wedding planner, and Zee's good friend, Francesco Bilotto said he tried to evoke a feeling of the Hamptons. "Lots of navy blue and off-white, very formal coastal is the look."
According to WZZM, guests will also be able to enjoy bagel dogs provided by Herman's Boy in Rockford if they are hungry again after their dinner and dessert.
Zee explained to people that she decided to get married in Michigan because she is both proud and has "countless memories of growing up along this gorgeous lake. I wanted to have one of the most important moments of my life here and make another one of those memories."
