On Tuesday the Pittsburg Pirates decided to bring their top prospect, Gregory Polanco, 22, to the major leagues. On Friday, at Marlins Park, Miami, he became the first player in over 100 years to have a 5-hit game that includes a home run within their first four games.

In total he piled five hits and scored three runs – including a game winning two-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Pirates up 8-6 against the Miami Marlins.

Through 26 at bats, Polanco is batting .385 with ten hits, five RBIs, six runs and a home run.
