Every bit of casting news on Marvel’s first Netflix series is going to get attention, even for supporting parts. Elden Henson, who appeared in Mighty Ducks and will be seen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, has joined Daredevil.
The news was first reported by TheWrap and also confirmed by Entertainment Weekly.
Henson will play Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock’s best friend and his legal partner. Murdock, of course, is the blind and becomes the title superhero. The character will be played by Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire).
Other key members of the cast include Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin and Rosario Dawson, who has a recurring role.
Daredevil will run 13 episodes and is set to debut on Netflix next year. The series will be filmed in New York and will be produced with ABC Television Studios.
Henson plays Pollux, a cameraman focused on Katniss Everdeen, in the final Hunger Games films. His other credits include Cast Away, Mighty Ducks, O, Jobs and The Butterfly Effect.
