Jared Cosart (8-5) pitched seven frames of one-run baseball, limiting the Atlanta Braves (40-38) to just six hits.

Cosart had his 10th quality start in his last 12 outings and won his fourth consecutive start, snapping Houston’s four-game losing streak, according to MLB.com

The Houston Astros (34-46) offense put up eight hits, including a three-run homer by Matt Dominguez in the fifth inning. George Springer hit a solo shot in the seventh inning, his 15th of the season and most by an Astros rookie before the All-Star break since Lance Berkman had 12 in 2000.

Braves pitcher Mike Minor (2-5) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks in his six innings. Minor is 0-3 with a 4.89 ERA in his last seven starts, according to the Atlanta Journal

Second baseman Jose Altuve went 2-for-4 with two runs, increasing his batting average to .334. Altuve tied the game in the bottom of the first, scoring on a double by Jon Singleton. Houston’s three-run fifth inning put the Braves in their rearview mirror.
