Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard married Saturday, June 21, in front of more than 1,000 guests that included family and friends.

The ceremony took place in her hometown of Springdale, Arkansas at the Cross Church, where the 19 and Counting star and Dillard were able to share their first kiss at the altar only after their vows were exchanged.

"I think it is safer and makes it more special to wait to kiss until your wedding day," Jill had told People after entering her courtship with Dillard, which is what the family calls their conservative way of dating.

Dillard shares the belief with Duggar.

"You can really get to know each other on every level without the physical part of it," he said. "I am the most blessed man to have Jill."

According to E! Online, the couple became engaged on March 29, when Dillard presented Duggar a .63-carat diamond ring. Their engagement day was the first time the couple held hands.
