Jimmy Fallon is one happy guy, being a new father and finding immense success with his new gig hosting The Tonight Show.

Fallon, 39, appeared on the cover of People and talked about his exciting year, noting “My life has never been this cool."

He explained of his life after welcoming Winnie Rose last summer with his wife, Nancy Fallon, "When you have a baby, sleep is not an option. You can't sleep. Even on vacation, you wake up at 6:30 a.m.”

Fallon and his wife welcomed their daughter through a surrogate, as 47-year-old Nancy had been unable to have a baby naturally.

"This has been the craziest year of my life, but being a father is the most exciting, amazing thing that ever happened to me. And everything's going well on the show,” he said. “Everything just gets heightened when you have a baby,” he said. “The volume gets turned up on life. I never knew I could be this happy, and that's the truth."

Since taking over for Jay Leno, Fallon often makes the headlines with his hilarious SNL-style skits with his famous guests. The show has increased 26 percent in viewership since he took it over.
