Johnny Depp has agreed to select the winner of reality show Chinese Dream.
Depp has agreed to choose the winner of the popular show and take them to Hollywood, according to Rolling Stone.
The show is a talent competition that features live performances and the audience votes on which performers advance to the next round. Depp told The Hollywood Reporter he was very impressed with China.
"I would love to make a film here and spend time here. I could live here, easily. It's a very warm experience," he said.
According to a viewer who posted on the Sina Weibo service, Depp is as popular in China as he is in the U.S.
"It is a blessing from several lifetimes to be the disciple of Depp," said Zhiyu Xinlixue. "Who will be the lucky one? Depp, if you can’t decide, you can take me.
Ever since Edward Scissorhands, Depp is a man-god in the hearts of thousands of girls. I am so jealous that he will take a disciple and take him/her to Hollywood."
Depp will next be seen in the states as the wolf in Into the Woods later this year. He can also be - instead of "can also be," just go with "is." expected to reprise his beloved character Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mean Tell No Tales in 2016.
