Some good news for U.S. fans of soccer ahead of Tuesday's match against Belgium, striker Jozy Altidore was cleared to play on Monday.

The U.S. Soccer Federation took to Twitter and wrote that Altidore is "Ready and available" for the afternoon match tomorrow.

What wasn't revealed was to what extent Altidore's availability is and whether head coach Jurgen Klinsmann will opt to start the young striker, throwing him right back into the action just a couple weeks after he injured his hamstring in the very first group match against Ghana.

As previously reported, there was some hope that striker would be ready for any game in the knockout round, provided the U.S. team could survive the "group of death," which they did just barely, despite losing to Germany.

Last Tuesday, Klinsmann said that "Jozy was recovering really well" and indicated he was progressing in his recovery enough to possibly make a return for the Round of 16.

Now maybe the U.S. has a better chance tomorrow?
