The University of Kansas men’s basketball team will be going by a different name for a short time in July 2015. The United States International University Sports Federation has chosen the Jayhawks as the United States participant in the 2015 World University Games, held in South Korea.

The school announced the decision Tuesday afternoon:

Kansas head coach Bill Self was looking forward to the competition, NBC Sports reports.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity,” he said. “It is a unique opportunity where a school will represent our country in the World University games as opposed to a select team. I can’t see anything but positives.”

In past years the US would put together an all-star team with some of the best college basketball players, but after the team disappointed in 2013, the US-IUSF decided to choose a single program, according to the AP.

The last US team was led by Davidson College head coach Bob McKillop, and included Doug McDermott, Adreian Payne and Sean Kilpatrick, but even with their talent they finished in 9th place.

The games are held on a biannual basis and will be held from July 3 to July 14. The basketball tournament is played under international rules with 10-minute quarters and a 24-second shot clock. There are 24 teams in six groups and the top two teams advance on to the next round.
