Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge and her sister Pippa Middleton will be attending the opening ceremony of the Tour de France this year.

Contact Music reported that the entire family would also be attending the event which will include the Middleton sisters, Prince William and Prince Harry will also be attending the start of the race which will be taking place in Yorkshire on 5th July.

The Royal Family will be supporting the 22 teams that are competing during the race which extends through Belgium, Spain and ending in Paris on July 27th. The race is 2272 miles long.

Before Pippa attends the Tour de France this year she will also be lending her support to a bicycle race in the United States. She will be arriving in Annapolis late this week or early next week to watch the last leg of a 3,000-mile bike race that has been extending across the United States.

The race is known as, "The Race Across America," and crosses 12 states and the Arizona desert.
Middleton will be attending the event as a chance to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and the Michael Matthews Foundation, The Baltimore Sun added.
