Katy Perry may have to put her political hat on for her next song. She has offered to write former First Lady and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a theme song, should Clinton decide to run for President in 2016.
Clinton and the “Roar” singer met on Friday and Perry shared a picture of the two on Instagram, with Perry holding a copy of Clinton’s book, Hard Choices. “I told @hillaryclinton that I would write her a ‘theme’ song if she needs it,” Perry wrote in the caption.
However, Clinton replied on Twitter, telling Perry that she didn’t have to write a new song for her. “Well that’s not a Hard Choice. You already did! Keep letting us hear you Roar,” Clinton wrote.
You can’t blame Clinton for plugging her book during the exchange. Hard Choices got off to a good start, selling 100,000 copies during its first week of release. The book, which covers Clinton’s four years as Secretary of State under President Obama, was released on June 10.
Coincidentally, one of the Super PACs pushing for Clinton to run, “Ready for Hillary,” has been using “Roar” for one of its online videos. As TIME reported back in March, the group released a video that uses an acoustic rendition of the song, while listing Clinton’s achievements.
