Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their first child, a baby girl, together on Thursday.
Clarkson announced the news herself through social media on Saturday, tweeting, "Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!"
The singer must be clairvoyant as she has insisted since November that she would be having a daughter, reports People. She said, ahead of finding out the sex of the child, "I'm totally gonna have a girl. I'm manifesting it! And when I have a girl, you're gonna be like, 'That chick knew it!'"
According to Us Weekly, the former American Idol winner did her best to stay out of the limelight during her pregnancy. It wasn't until she went out with her 37-year-old husband in Tennessee during Easter that anyone got a look how she was doing.
Clarkson and Blackstock tied the knot in a quiet ceremony in October 2013. While a first child for Clarkson, Blackstock has an 11-year-old daughter, Savannah, and 7-year-old son, Seth, from another relationship.
