That 70's Show's Lisa Robin Kelly’s estranged husband Robert Gilliam is suing the rehab facility where Kelly stayed when she overdosed last August.
The wrongful death lawsuit was filed on June 9 against California’s Pax House and owners James and Marcia Burnett, reports Radar. The document reads, “Plaintiffs are informed and believe, and thereupon allege, that each of the Defendants designated herein as a DOE was, and is, negligent, or in some other actionable manner, responsible for the events and happening hereinafter referred to.”
Kelly died in her sleep of an accidental drug overdose on Aug. 15 of last year. She was 43.
Despite Gilliam’s claims, Kelly’s then-boyfriend blamed Gilliam himself for Kelly’s overdose shortly after her death, thanks to Gilliam’s physical and emotional abuse.
To this, Gilliam responded that “in the last two weeks, [Kelly] called me 22 times to get away from [her boyfriend],” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Gilliam is seeking damages from losing Kelly, along with medical expenses and legal fees.
