After months of speculation, La Toya Jackson is officially engaged to her longtime manager, Jeffré Phillips!
On an interview with Good Morning America, the singer confirmed the happy news. "Yes, I am. I'm engaged. And I'm excited about it. Yes, I'm very much engaged … And it's wonderful," she said showing ABC’s Abbie Boudreau her 17.5 carat diamond ring.
According to E! News, Jeffré is seen in a clip on reality show Life With LaToya asking Joe Jackson for permission to wed his daughter. La Toya agrees that going before her father is no easy task. "My father, mind you, he's a nice guy, but he's not the easiest person to talk to,” she said in the interview.
No date is set for the wedding, but La Toya does admit that she’s always wanted to be a mother. She made a pact with her brother Michael and friend Kathy Hilton that they would all name their first born children “Paris.” Kathy having the first, named her daughter Paris Hilton and Michael followed with Paris Jackson. When La Toya was asked if there was a possibility of a daughter named Paris in the future, she responded, “There possibly could be!”
