Comedian Louis C.K. took to Twitter on Wednesday night to ask TMZ to take down a video of the Saturday morning car crash that involved comedian Tracy Morgan and left James McNair dead. C.K. is asking his fans to do the same. A short time later, director Judd Apatow also used Twitter to call on TMZ.

The campaign to bring down the video really started with comedian Artie Fuqua’s daughter, Krizya, taking to social media to beg TMZ to take the video down. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the video shows Fuqua being taken from the wreckage, unconscious.

C.K. retweeted a link to a story about Krizya’s calls on TMZ. “They don't understand how hurtful it is to see my father dragged out of the wreckage,” she wrote on Instagram. “No one should see my father this way.”

“Arte's brave daughter asked them to take it down,” C.K. tweeted. “They won't.”

He later asked fans to not go to TMZ to watch the video and instead ask the site to pull it. Apatow retweeted the Louie star’s message, adding, “@HarveyLevinTMZ please take down the accident video.”

Kevin Roper, the truck driver charged in the accident, pleaded not guilty on court on Wednesday. Morgan, who is best known for his time on Saturday Night Live and on 30 Rock, remains in critical condition and underwent surgery on his leg.
