While promoting Maleficent in the U.K., Angelina Jolie revealed that this may be her penultimate project. Jolie confirmed talk of bringing Cleopatra back to the silver screen, with Eric Roth as screenwriter and Jolie as the star.

As reported by TIME.com, on Monday, Angelina Jolie, stated the role of Cleopatra is, “It’s one of those that you think maybe that’s the one you put everything into and that’s where you end it, that’s where you finish—in a great way.” The news spread about the possibly retiring humanitarian, but there is one catch: Jolie says she is not actually retiring.

Although she admitted the role of Cleopatra would be a “complicated” one, Jolie said in an interview on msn.com, “Brad (Pitt) has known for a while that I love my humanitarian work and I love directing and writing so he has seen this coming I think. But I am not retiring. I will do one or two movies if they come, the right ones, but I think that I have been in front of the camera for so long in my life and it's nice to step back.”
