Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are reuniting for a new season of PROJECT GRENNLIGHT. The duel of Damon and Affleck are bringing back a documentary series that had two seasons in 2001 and 2003.
President of HBO Michael Lombardo made the announcement that the documentary series would return to television. The show will have an uncensored view of the obstacles the directors have to endure for the first time, and it will be a digital competition.
"We are delighted to reunite with Ben and Matt for a new season of PROJECT GREENLIGHT. This unique show offers a fascinating look inside moviemaking that is unlike anything else on TV," said Lombardo, reported by Broadway World.
The superstar actors were apart of this documentary series over a decade ago because they wanted to spectate first-time film directors and wanted to witness the filmmaking process. They are prepared to do the same in the year 2014. It is a chance for the duel to put a first-time filmmaker on the map.
"This time around we are looking to identify an incredibly talented first time director," said Damon, according to HBO.
Damon is a critically acclaimed actor who has been apart of the Bourne film series, and Affleck is an incredible actor who has been apart of films such as Argo and The Town. The combination of these megastars brings a film presence to this series that will captivate audiences to tune it and watch their goal transpire right before our very eyes.
