E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) kicked off yesterday with some of its biggest conferences. Microsoft started the day off and gave a solid performance. They announced some new titles like Sunset Overdrive and Ori and the blind forest,/i>, along with some familiar franchises like new Fable and Dragon Age. The jaw-dropping trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Unity even premiered during Microsoft’s two-hour long conference. However, the announcement with the most buzz was the reveal of the Halo: Master Chief Collection.
Master Chief is back and in HD! This four game collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. While each game will remain the same, all will be remastered for HD and the Xbox One. With this game, the player will have access to the multiplayer beta for Halo 5: Guardians on December 14 says IGN.
Microsoft’s big news came with a stunning trailer and 343 Industries presenter, Bonnie Ross. Before the trailer, Ross hinted a possible plot and story line for Halo 5 with the words “journey, past, and future,” according to CNET.
Knowing that the Xbox One is falling behind the PS4 in sales, Microsoft needed to blow the audience away with this E3 press conference. Do you think the Halo: Master Chief Collection will be enough to help Microsoft’s new system? Halo: Master Chief Collection is set to come out November 11, 2014 and Halo 5: Guardians will hit stores in 2015.
