Miley Cyrus has officially adopted a new pooch months after her dog Floyd passed away.
Things are looking up for Miley Cyrus! A few months after her beloved Floyd passed away, the 21-year-old Bangerz singer is finally moving on. Miley had a particularly hard time dealing with Floyd’s passing, tweeting, “I don’t wanna say it because I don’t want it to be real… But my precious baby Floyd has passed away. I am broken.”
But now there is a new member of the Cyrus family! Miley posted a photo of her new dog, Emu, along with a lengthy heartfelt message to fans about loving Floyd while accepting fresh starts in life. “It's taken some time to be ready for this next step and loving again. There will never be anyone like Floyd.”

I feel like this is a new beginning in so many ways,” she writes in the caption. “I feel a change coming on.”
Fans have also helped the star create a shrine for Floyd by sending dog stuffed animals and flowers. Miley thanked her fans on Instagram with a photo of the collection. “Without you I would never have these beautiful Floyd stuffed animals that make me happy everyday cause I can hold him.”
