MTV struck gold this year with the introduction of its brand new teenage comedy Faking It and as the season finale premieres is coming up, there is great news to be shared.

The popular program has been given the go ahead to continue the story with a second ten-episode season reports Deadline. The show has been averaging 1.5 million viewers in their main demographic of 12-34 year olds. Faking It follows two best friends, Karma (Katie Stevens) and Amy (Rita Volk) who have failed at being popular for years, yet when they are mistakenly ousted for being in a lesbian relationship, the two decide to play along as they reach celebrity status. Now one friend is not really faking it anymore.

EW reports that the show continues to pull in 90 percent of its audience from its 10pm lead-in show which is MTV’s Awkward.
