“Well, I think we really had our vacation. That part is over. Not that you shouldn’t enjoy time with your family or stuff like that, because for the next seven months we’re pretty busy every day,” Brady said, according to The Boston Globe.
After losing in the postseason to the Denver Broncos last year, it was another season of no Super Bowl appearance for the Patriots. The Patriots have not participated in a Super Bowl game since 2012 when they lost to Eli Manning and the New York Giants. After being a 15-year pro, Brady understands the criticism on him and that people's views might be different after his last postseason run. He is going to use that as fuel to be ready for battle on the gridiron.
"I'm always pretty fired up so I think there's people that always have opinions about us as athletes and you just try to go out there and do your best. You go home at night realizing you left it all on the field and some days you don't play your best, but that's sports," said Brady, reported by The Boston Herald.
Even though last season did not go as planned, Brady is an all-time great who is capable of turning things around on the field. His track record indicates that he has thrown 359 touchdown passes, thrown for 49,149 total yards, and has a total of 4,178 complete passes, according to NFL.
