Nickelodon has finally released some information about the third season of The Legend of Korra, Nick’s massively popular series and sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender. And, surprisingly, the film’s premier is closer than you think: Book Three, called “Change” will debut on Friday, June 27th at 7pm, with the first three episodes of the series airing in sequence.
The details of the third season’s premiere were exclusively premiered on IGN , and included not only a preview clip, but also short descriptions of the first two episodes of the season. The first three episodes have also been given titles: “A Breath of Fresh Air,” “Rebirth of a Nation,” and “The Earth Queen.”
Earlier in the week, as reported by Crossmap , co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino wrote, "Can't believe we've finished an entire season's worth of shows. We're so proud of everyone who worked so hard to make Book 3 the best season of Korra yet! I know you are all excited to watch - believe me, we're excited to share it with you!"
Di Martino also gave some details on the premise of the upcoming season, stating “"At the end of Book 2 she says it's a new era. And it really is and we're going to show how Harmonic Convergence and her battle with Unalaq and Vaatu kind of shifted the world a bit," DiMartino explained the highlights of The Legend of Korra Book 3””
The previous seasons of the show (which features Janet Varney (pictured above) as the titular Korra) can be watched or rewatched on Nick.com for a limited time, as well as interviews and exclusive content.
