The Baltimore Orioles (41-36) defeated the Chicago White Sox (36-43) 5-4 in the 12th inning thanks to a walk-off wild pitch by reliever Daniel Webb (4-2). With no outs Webb’s first pitch bounced past catcher Tyler Flowers, scoring pinch-runner David Lough from third base to cap off the comeback.
Chicago led 4-0 going into the bottom of the eighth inning. Outfielder Adam Eaton went 4-for-5 with a RBI. Jose Abreu hit his 23rd homer of the season off of Ubaldo Jimenez.
With two outs and the bases loaded, Cruz blasted a homer past the right-field fence to tie the game 4-4. Cruz was robbed of a homer in his first at-bat according to MLB.com
