Celebrity Chef Paula Deen said that she will be launching a new digital network.

The Paula Deen Network will be a subscription-based service for the internet. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paula Deen said in a statement, “Guess who’s going digital, y’all! I’m so excited about my new online network and can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on. We’re going to have so much fun being together and cooking up some wonderful new and classic dishes.”

The new digital network will start in September. The network is backed by a $100 million private-equity investment from Phoenix-based Najafi Cos., according to The Wall Street Journal. Most of the footage on the network will be shot from a production studio in Savannah, Ga.

Deen said that she decided to launch an internet network as a way to get the word out beyond a 22 minute format. Also, with a subscription based digital network, her fans can have some flexibility in terms of when they watch her programs.

Paula Deen is a celebrity chef who operates The Lady & Sons Restaurants, with her sons, Jamie and Bobby Deen.
