There are countless celebrities who have already guest starred on Louie, or who will star within the not-too-distant future. But one that will, unfortanately, not be seen on Louis C.K.'s show is Philip Seymour Hoffman, despite the fact that he was scheduled to do so before his passing.

In an interview given to Yahoo, when talking about his upcoming appearance on Louie, in an episode that will air on Monday, Jeremy Renner revealed that Philip Seymour Hoffman was lined up to be on the show, before he untimely passed away.

"I play a real character in Louie's life," Renner said of his part, before going on to reveal that, ""Phil [Seymour] Hoffman was supposed to be in it, too. It's about young Louie, so he isn't even acting in it—he's just directing it. Yeah, then Phil unfortunately passed, but I guess they were able to pull the episode together."

There is no denying that this is just another loss that has come from Hoffman's passing. However, fans of the actor can still see the actor in the recently released God's Pocket, as well as the upcoming A Most Wanted Man and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2.

Meanwhile, Renner was recently seen in The Immigrant and will soon be seen in Kill the Messenger and then heard as the narrator on The World Wars mini-series. If that wasn't enough, Renner is re-praising his role as Hawkeye in The Avengers: Age of Ultron at the moment, and will soon be filming parts in Mission: Impossible 5 and the next sequel in the Bourne series.
