Sometimes the little things are what really save the day. Prince Harry became a local hero in a small Chilean town devastated by wildfire back in April this week when he fixed a family’s television prior to Chile’s World Cup soccer match.
Prince Harry took the time to visit Brazil and Chile this week to foster international relations. The 29-year-old prince ran into some trouble early on during the trip, as he couldn’t possibly to choose which team to root for in the World Cup match between Brazil and Chile. He jokingly described the dilemma as a “diplomatic challenge.”
According to The Mirror, the young prince was visiting a small family’s temporary home since they had lost their residence in the recent blaze. Coca Perez, 50, describes how Prince Harry got her television working just before the soccer game began. “He looked at it and he started to fiddle with the cable. He managed to get it working so we could watch Chile playing Brazil,” she said. “Now I can tell everyone that Prince Harry is my TV repair man!” she laughed. Her two teenagers witnessed the event as well in anticipation of the game.
Because of Prince Harry’s help, Ms. Perez and her children were able to watch the game and root for their country. “I feel really moved to have met Harry and thankful and happy. I feel like crying.”
Way to go, Prince Harry! For which team do you think he rooted in the end?
