After reportedly bailing on their film, actress Evan Rachel Wood (Across the Universe, True Blood) is being sued $30 million by the producers of 10 Things I Hate About Life.

Wood has called the lawsuit “preposterous,” as she stopped working when the producers failed to pay her for her work, Variety reports.

However, the suit alleges that Wood was paid an advance $300,000 for her work on the film before production halted after four weeks, three weeks short of Wood’s seven-week filming contract.

“The lawsuit is preposterous and simply a bullying tactic from financially troubled producers. The production shut down in Feb. 2013 when the producers ran out of money. Even after that, Evan agreed to resume production in Nov. 2013, by which time the producers said they would have cleared up their issues,” said Wood’s representatives in a statement about the lawsuit, according to E!.

The film, directed by Gil Junger, was set to be a follow-up to his 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You, which starred Julie Stiles, Heath Ledger, and Joseph-Gordon Levitt.
