Gwyenth Paltrow was mocked a few days ago because she said that reading incendiary online comments could be as “dehumanizing” as War. That comment has drawn the attention of a U.S. Green Beret named Bryan Sikes, who is furious with the comments Paltrow stated. He feels that people who think like she does about war should not be making those kinds of remarks. Paltrow did not have any clue she was going to get his type of reaction from her words.
“You said, ‘It’s almost like, how in war, you go through this bloody dehumanizing thing and then something is defined out of it.’ I could see how you, and others like you in ‘the biz,’ could be so insecure and mentally weak that you could pair the difficulty of your life on Twitter to my brothers who have had their limbs ripped off and seen their friends shot, blown up, burned and disfigured, or wake up every morning in pain-while just starting the day is a challenge,” said Sikes, reported by ClashDaily.
Not only did this U.S. Green Beret mock the actress, Cindy McCain got in on the action too via Twitter. She said Paltrow is a joke. Having two sons in the military Mrs. McCain does seems to not have any dignity for what Paltrow has stated to the public.
“Her life is like taking bullets for a soldier. What a joke! My 2 sons serving in the military should talk to her,” said McCain, confirmed by the National Post.
The next time an actor or actress makes a statement they need to be cautious of what they are saying, it can have a ripple affect in a negative way even if you did not mean for it to be that way. Paltrow now knows what it is like to say something via Internet that can be spread all over the place.
