More details have continued to emerge over the weekend regarding the fatal accident involving comedian Tracy Morgan that occurred last Saturday.
Tyrone Gale, the driver of the limo carrying the comedian and his group, was disoriented after the trailer crashed into them on the New Jersey Turnpike. He said he heard Morgan screaming for help, but the driver could not reach him, according to Fox News.
The news station also reported that MediaTakeOut.com said that a nurse from the hospital treating Morgan told them that amputation was considered for Morgan’s severly injured leg, but that the comedian was against it and opted to have more surgeries.
The 30 Rock star remains in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, New Jersey, but continues to be more responsive. He sustained various injuries including a broken femur, a broken nose, and a number of broken ribs,

The Georgia Truck Driver, Kevin Roper, 35, was charged with death by auto and four counts of assault by auto. Roper had not slept for 24 hours according to the criminal complaint. Morgan’s close friend and comedy writer James McNair died at the scene.
