Finally, Bradshaw is back. Our favorite former Sex and the City star is taking on a lead role in a new TV show called Busted.
The limited series will be based on the book Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love, a memoir written by reporters Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker about their journey to uncovering a Philadelphia police scandal, according to Entertainment News.
It seems that Ruderman and Laker could not be more excited to see their story hit the small screen.
“We’re bonkers out of our minds with glee,” Ruderman told the Daily News (via philly.com).
Parker will be sticking to her on-screen career as a writer in her new role, though not in quite the same realm of journalism that Carrie Bradshaw preferred. Now, we’ll see the former fashionista as an investigative journalist, reported CBS News.
Sydney Kimmel Entertainment optioned the rights to the book and will be taking on the project with Anonymous Content, the production company of HBO’s True Detective.
