With LeVar Burton’s Reading Rainbow Kickstarter coming to a close in July, Burton has trying hard to collect as many donations as possible. Family Guy creator, Seth Macfarlane, has answered his calls for help and then some.

Burton had big plans for this fundraiser from the beginning and now he is one step closer to making it happen. This Kickstarter is to help spread PBS’ Reading Rainbow to class rooms everywhere for a fee of zero dollars. Macfarlane told Burton that he will give up to one million dollars matching any donations till the end of the fundraiser according to NY Daily News. As of now, the campaign is a lot over four million and Burton is asking to reach a whole five million. If the campiagin ends with five million, Macfarlane’s help will take it up to six million says ,Los Angeles Times. The fundraiser ends July 2nd so there is hope for Burton to reach his goal. With the help of MacFarlane, Reading rainbow could go to over 12,500 classrooms all around the nation.
Burton could not be more grateful for the Family Guy’s star donation.
