Only ten days after Lamar Sally filed for legal separation, Sherri Shepherd goes one step further and files for divorce.
The View co-host discussed her marital struggles with E! News.
“Growth is hard and growth is a struggle, and it hurts and you've got to go through that in order to grow or you stay the same…I hope that my character and my integrity speaks for me, so I stand behind that.”
Sally and Shepherd have a child on the way through surrogacy which Sally has requested custody of. Shepherd has a nine-year old son, Jeffery, with ex-husband Jeff Tarpley. She explained that she planned on spending as much time with Jeffery as possible, especially given that Tarpley has requested full custody over Jeffery, who is a special needs child. Tarpley accuses Shepherd of neglect of their son Jeffery.
