Taylor Swift is known around the world for her catchy melodies and superstar status in the entertainment industry but she is also known for using her star power to help a variety of charities. Adding to already impressive list of charitable causes, Swift has now joined the READ campaign.

The campaign is a program that is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA). On their website the program is described as “conveys the pleasure and importance of reading” by photographing high-profile celebrities reading their favorite novels or books.

People reported that Swift is joining celebrities such as Rachel McAdams and Kelly Ripa who have also joined the campaign.

Swift's campaign features her being photographed reading Lois Lowry's young adult classic The Giver, which won the Newbery Medal. Swift is wearing a classic red dress to match her signature red lipstick.

Swift will also be staring in the upcoming film adaptation of the novel which will be released on August 15th. The film also stars Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges and Katie Holmes.

This is not the first time that Swift has show her passion for reading, she also donated books to many public libraries.

Swift also recently donated $50,000 to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Inquistir reported.
