A second member from the popular rap group Cali Swag District passed away this Friday.

JayAre, born Charon Childs, suffered from sickle cell anemia and was admitted into the hospital Thursday for unknown reasons. It was that next day when the rapper fell into cardiac arrest and died, said a source from MTV News. He was 25 years old.

Unfortunately he is not the first to lose his life as another member of the group, M-Bone, was murdered in a drive-by shooting back in 2011.

The rap group began as a foursome and is best known for their platinum hit, “Teach Me How To Dougie” which was released in 2010. Following the murder of M-Bone, the three remaining members, JayAre, Smoove and Yung, put out their debut album The Kickback. Earlier this year they finished off their mixtape titled The District as well.

TMZ reports that Smoove, from CSD, tweeted last night, “Sickle cell took my brother away from me today. With that being said I'm proud to know that with that disease he made the best of his life.”
